
ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
Our Foundation has been established to distribute grants to your local non-profit organisations working in the areas of health and safety, financial literacy and environmental sustainability. Our aim is to make a valuable and significant contribution to your local community.
The Foundation is funded by the Community CPS Australia Group, along with regular contributions from our staff, suppliers, our members (you!) and ongoing fundraising activities.
Since 2007 we have provided charitable grants to the following organisations: (please click on a heading to read more)
• Canberra Environment and Sustainability Resource Centre
The Canberra Environment and Sustainability Resource Centre supports the local community in the advancement of the principles of sustainability through knowledge, education, information and practical applications. Our Foundation provided a grant of $10,000 to the Centre to support its ‘Food for Life’ program. For more information visit www.ecoaction.com.au

• Galilee School
The Foundation provided a grant of $6,000 to the Galilee School, which assists at risk youths and disadvantaged people who are unable to attend mainstream schools. The money was used to fund their ‘Healthy Breakfast and Lunch Program’ – providing valuable nutrition to those in need - for twelve months. For more information visit www.galilee.org.au

• Hospitaller Programmes
Hospitaller Programmes is a volunteer ambulance service that has provided medical assistance, first aid and hospital transportation for Adelaide’s lower socio-economic residents for more than 20 years. Our Foundation provided a grant of $9,000 to Hospitaller for the purchase of life saving equipment to attend to the poor and injured more efficiently.

• Life Education SA & ACT
Life Education runs programs in schools with a strong focus on resilience, nutrition and exercise as well as awareness programs centred around the affects of drugs and alcohol. Our grants to both SA and ACT Life Education subsidise the attendance of disadvantaged young people and families in local schools. For more information visit www.lifeeducation.org.au

• Modbury Special School
The Foundation presented a soundbeam (an interactive piece of equipment which encourages children with a disability to move and dance by moving in front of a laser beam that makes different sounds in response to the different movements made by the children) valued at $7,777 to the Modbury Special School to be used extensively in the education of children with learning difficulties and multiple learning disabilities. • Newborn Intensive Care Foundation
In 2006 we conducted a fundraising appeal for the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation (NBICF) in ACT to purchase a mobile humidicrib. Donated to the Neonatal Unit of the Canberra Hospital, the mobile humidicrib enabled their team to transport critically ill babies. An additional grant of $25,000 from our Foundation has assisted the NBICF to invest in an overhead incubator, to ensure adequate heat is provided to babies during surgery. We have recently launched a new fundraising appeal to raise $180,000 to purchase a second mobile humidicrib for the Unit.

• Operation Flinders
The Foundation has provided two grants of $6,000 to Operation Flinders to give four young people the opportunity to participate in the organisation's wilderness adventure program for young offenders and young people at risk of falling onto the wrong side of the law. • Recyclery
Our Foundation provided a grant of $10,000 to support the Recyclery in funding their innovative program which encourages the reuse and recycling of bicycles and parts and to assist with bicycle safety promotions and learn to ride workshops. For more information visit www.recyclery.com.au

• Royal District Nursing Service - Breathing Space Program
Grants totalling $50,000 have been made to the Royal District Nursing Service's Breathing Space program. Breathing Space addresses the basic needs of aged and isolated South Australians who are not otherwise catered for by the welfare system. This is done by providing brief respite for clients in desperate circumstances. For more information visit www.rdns.org.au

• The Spastic Centre
To show our support for the Spastic Centre in ACT, the Foundation donated $7,000 for the Hot Kidz Technology program, which provides technology accessibility and usability options for children with cerebral palsy. For more information visit www.thespasticcentre.org.au

• Time for Kids
The Foundation provided a $6,000 grant to Time for Kids, a non-profit organisation that provides focused respite to children from families which are facing mental or physical health issues. This offers them the chance to experience a different family environment and take a break from problems at home. For more information visit www.timeforkids.com.au
